check your vocabulary for ielts (4th)

[FREE materials]

Check Your English Vocabulary for IELTS (4th) is written for students who are preparing for either the Academic or General Training modules of the IETLS exam. The book covers some of the main vocabulary areas that you will need for or come across in the exam for all the 4 skills : reading, listening, writing and speaking.

You don’t need to work through the book from the beginning to end. It is better to choose the areas you are unfamiliar with and want to improve more. The author recommends that you should record, review and extend your vocabulary as working with this book. Also, to help you develop your vocabulary more effectively, you should use a good monolingual dictionary so that you can look up words that you don’t know how to pronounce and are unsure of their meanings and relevant forms (nouns, adjectives, adverbs, etc.)
